Assistant Manager - Technical Services (REFM)

Overview of the Role:

As the AM Technical for, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining world class, safe, sustainable and flexible workplaces to create consistent workplace experience for our employees in India offices. You will collaborate with key stakeholders and partners to create, develop and maintain Infrastructure, Systems, Controls and Governance mechanisms contributing to an engaging and productive workplace environment that aligns with Sinch's values and culture.

Key Responsibilities include: 

  • Facility Management : 
    • The overall Technical operations of multiple offices, ensuring all facilities run smoothly and efficiently. 
    • Manage health and safety aspects according to regulation. 
    • Create and maintain detailed operational and strategic plans for R&M, AMC’s, PPM’s, Capital Asset Replacement/ Refurbishment etc. 
  • Stakeholder management:  
    • Curate, Cultivate and maintain relationships with all Upstream  stakeholders (i.e. Sinch Business Leaders in the region) rendering ensure FM support to meet business objectives. Assist, consult, advise and guide Sinch colleagues on Facility and Technical services – Heat load mapping, Space management etc.  
    • Establish, build and maintain downstream relationships with RE FM stakeholders like property managers, office suppliers, sub-contractors etc. to enable deliveries and project works are scheduled and completed. e.g. Annual powerdowns etc.  
  • Financial management:
    • Own the Engineering services and project budgets from planning to forcasting and spend controls. 
  • Various administrative tasks, e.g. raise PRs, program manage changes, process invoices, maintain MIS of services etc. 
  • Audits and Compliance:
    • Ensure all our facilities and services are fully compliant to all statutory norms and client requirements. Plan and undertake First, Second and Third Party Audits of all our premises.
    • Plan and execute closures of all actionable observations.  
  • Implement industry best practices to improve standards of workplace services. 
  • Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for the Sinch Facilities team on any information requests related to engineering or facility projects. 
  • Project lead for any required uplift or changes to the office floor e.g., working closely with external project managers.   
  • Management of services for multiple offices. 

Requirements 

  • BE /B Tech degree (full time) from recognized college in Electrical / Electrical and electronics / Civil streams 
  • 5 years proven experience in workplace engineering or facilities management (technical) roles for independent and tenanted complexes. 
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations and requirements. 
  • Experience in managing relationships with internal stakeholders, external vendors and service providers. 
  • Strong project management and coordination skills. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels. 
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset. 
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks. 
  • Proficient in MS office, Teams etc. 
  • Experience in the technology or telecommunications industry is a plus.
