Reporting to the Airline Revenue Accounting – Operations Manager, the Assistant Manager (Revenue Accounting) will be leading a team of revenue accounting technicians and coordinators.
Responsibilities:
• The management and development of a team.
• Implementation of new key clients and processes.
• Supporting clients in the provision of analytical support
• Ensuring adherence to SLAs and company budget
• Work with coordinators to establish goals and process refinement.
• Build a strong relationship with Clients.
• Support the critical deliverables to the main clients if required.
• Propose and implement processes enhancement and efficiency.
• Support and lead any system implementation ensuring the integrity of the migration.
• Monitor the quality of the deliverables ensuring to deliver a high-quality outcome.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Management.
Requirements
Thorough understanding of airline revenue accounting processes, including ticket sales, ancillary revenue, refunds, and interline billing.
• Familiarity with industry-specific accounting standards (e.g., IATA Revenue Accounting Manual).
• Experience in handling complex revenue recognition processes and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Strong ability to analyze large data sets to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvements.
• Proficiency in forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis related to revenue
• Ability to identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within the revenue accounting function.
• Experience working with technology teams to implement new systems or upgrade existing processes for efficiency.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams, delegating tasks, and fostering a positive work environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly convey complex financial information to nonfinancial stakeholders.
• Ability to tackle challenges in revenue accounting by developing innovative solutions and making data driven decisions.
• Expertise in troubleshooting discrepancies or errors in revenue data and resolving them efficiently.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing and reconciling revenue data, ensuring financial records are complete and error-free.
