About the Role

The L&D function at Meesho is responsible for rolling out learning interventions that build business impact and drive growth for the organization. The Meesho’s learning ecosystem focuses not only on classroom-driven learning interventions but also on peer-to-peer knowledge sharing/learning, self-paced online learning programs, social learning, hackathons, learning through curated resources, etc.

The L&D Assistant Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing a BU wide Learning & Development strategy that facilitates and drives individual development and capacity building in line with the zonal business requirements. The position will involve collaborating effectively with people at all job levels and interacting with a diverse group of individuals and personalities to ensure the achievement of individual, functional, and organizational goals.

What you will do

  • Own & drive learning interventions to improve process knowledge and reduce skill gaps.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders (ops, process tech, HR, & other functions) & design the L&D Strategy for the BU which is inline with the Business Goals.
  • Should be able to lead the regional teams of trainers/learning partners and contractual trainers to execute various learning interventions for the BU. 
  • Ensure 100% adoption to digital ways of learning for the Blue Colored workforce & drive all their learning through the LMS.
  • Track progress, publish insightful reports and intervene wherever required to improve the adoption and completion of Learning Interventions.
  • Regularly connects with the stakeholders (Business Head, HR Head, Quality, Tech-Ops & Design heads for the BU) in forms of monthly reviews to help improve business metrics through learning interventions which will reduce knowledge gaps.
  • Function as the go-to person within the business for any questions or queries related to the various training and development programs.
  • Design and Execute capability development programs for the FTEs (Full Time Employees)

What you will need

  • Must have at least 5 years of relevant experience and a good understanding of L&D systems and processes, instructional design, content development, training delivery, and evaluation of training effectiveness. 
  • Exposure to working in an organization involved in e-Commerce or supply chain or customer service would be an added advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • High quality written and verbal communication skills, strong listening skills.
  • Should be able to create contents of various types like audio, video, posters etc.
  • Should be an expert with different types of animation tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal-skills and a demonstrated ability to interact with all levels in the organization
  • Demonstrated success in implementing innovative training techniques and learning technologies, in multiple areas including managerial and leadership development areas
  • Experience in conducting organizational, program level, and individual needs analysis to identify learning and development needs; experience in running targeted development programs.
  • Good knowledge of the training/learning related offerings available in the market, including relevant training organizations and service providers
  • Exposure to authoring tools, Learning Management Systems (LMS) and eLearning development systems, tools, and resources.
  • Should be able to create contents of various types like audio video animation posters etc.
