As an Assistant Manager IT, you will be responsible to design, configure, and maintain enterprise-level network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. You will also, oversee and manage LAN, WAN, WLAN, VLAN, and VPN architectures, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage IT Operations for the company
- Manage organizational fiscal years Capex/Opex planning, forecasting and expense management
- Proactively identify performance weakness and propose solutions
- Lead teams in problem management, change management and improvement opportunities to reduce incident counts
- Collaborate with other technical and functional teams to document and support business rules and operating procedures
- Diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to Bayut and dubizzle employees
- Providing L2 desktop support (Windows/Mac/Linux)
- Server Administration
- Setting up and configuring new laptops and desktops
- Ensuring security and upgrades are applied to desktops and laptops and kept up to date
- Provide network support and resolve issues with the Router/Access points
- Performing support duties, as required, to meet specific operational objectives
- Provide ongoing guidance, feedback and mentoring support to the team
- Proactively track, review team performance and provide feedback for improvements
- Comply and help to maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing company’s standards
- Identify opportunities for the team development and skills advancement
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline; advanced degree is a plus.
- Certifications such as MCSE is a must.
- CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in network engineering roles, with a strong focus on enterprise networks and Systems.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Fortinet certifications such as NSE4, NSE5, NSE6, or NSE7 are highly desirable.
Knowledge:
Firewall (Fortinet, Sophos), Cisco Routing & Switching, Wifi (Ruckus, Unifi), VMware, Microsoft Servers, ADS, DHCP,DNS, Radius Server, CA, VCenter, IP PBX.
