The Communications team at Meesho plays a crucial role in shaping and amplifying the narrative of Meesho's mission to democratize internet commerce for every Indian. About the Role
As a key member of the Communications team, the successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and creating compelling stories that resonate with Meesho's mission. Collaborating with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams, the role involves driving consistent PR visibility across key verticals, such as user experience, seller empowerment, technology, human resources and logistics efficiency. The candidate will leverage their analytical skills to interpret internal data for generating new story ideas and contribute to the development and execution of impactful PR campaigns.
What you will do
- Work with internal stakeholders across user, seller, technology, human resources and logistics verticals to identify and create compelling stories.
- Work with cross functional teams to drive consistent PR visibility for the brand across key verticals.
- Analyze and interpret internal data to create new story ideas.
- Conceptualize and implement successful PR campaigns with measurable results.
- Actively track and map media/journalists relevant for stories about Meesho.
- Build strong and trusting relationship with regional and national media.
- Efficiently manage day-to-day PR agency deliverables.
- Develop content for opinion pieces, media responses, press releases, etc.
What will you need
- Graduation/Post Graduation degree in communication.
- 5-6 years of experience in PR.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong relationships with journalists and publications covering business, startups and e-commerce
- Ability to manage key stakeholders at the CXO level.
- Openness to collaborate with teams across the organization to identify and create story opportunities
