Dangote Cement Plc, Gboko is seeking an Assistant General Manager (AGM) for E&I (Electrical & Instrumentation) at their Coal Power Plant. The AGM will be responsible for the overall management and coordination of electrical and instrumentation activities at the power plant.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and instrumentation systems at the coal power plant
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal performance of electrical and instrumentation equipment
- Supervise a team of technicians and ensure their compliance with safety regulations and procedures
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely resolution of electrical and instrumentation issues
- Monitor energy consumption and implement energy efficiency measures
- Manage the budget for electrical and instrumentation activities
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technological advancements in electrical and instrumentation systems
- Provide technical support and guidance to other departments when needed
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 20 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance, preferably in a coal power plant
- Excellent knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems and equipment
- Strong leadership and managerial skills
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards
- Proficiency in MS Office and relevant software applications
