Team
Fortune’s small but mighty legal team supports our quickly growing business, both in the U.S. and internationally. We advise all departments throughout the company and its affiliates on the panoply of legal issues faced by a digitally driven media company with a key differentiator of publishing multiple print magazine editions and operating conferences and events worldwide. Our unique business, essentially a 100-year-old startup, with world famous brands, presents its legal team with opportunity for extensive growth. We work in the office in person, with some remote work currently permitted one or two days a week, subject to change. Our tasks range from counseling on proposed initiatives (sales, e-commerce, marketing, advertising, promotion, events, human resources, and others); reviewing and advising on agreements; drafting, implementing and enforcing policies; advising on content prior to publication; clearing, protecting and enforcing our intellectual property rights; responding to claims; and much more.

The person also would be counseling different businesses on implementing privacy by design into new and existing products and services and updating our privacy policies and practices. The role would involve working closely with others throughout the company to understand and explain the nature of the deal and risks at a fast-moving pace.
