Mintel has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Financial Accountant to join our dynamic Head Office Accounts Department on a fixed term contract with an immediate start. This position is a wide varied role and is well suited to an individual that is looking to continue their career in accounting.
Responsibilities will include:
- Running accounting processes, including fixed assets depreciation, budget transfers, account creation, and exchange rates upload
- Manage month-end postings for prepayments and accruals, ensuring supporting schedules are reconciled and accurate
- Maintain our Invoice and Staff Expenses management software. This will include setting up new users, managing approval workflow, system queries, and troubleshooting problems as they arise
- Manage the process from approved surveys to payment made for our Global network of Shoppers
- Assist with year-end audit schedules and queries
- Provide assistance where necessary throughout the Accounts Department and participate in any ad-hoc projects as and when required
To be considered for the role, candidates must:
- Graduate working towards CIMA or ACCA qualification - ideally part-qualified
- Have a minimum of one year’s accountancy experience
- Highly numerate with good attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines
- Work on own initiative and well-organised be able to balance occasional conflicting demands on your time
- Have advance written and oral communication skills
- Possess advanced Excel skills
- Good IT knowledge will be required
