Assistant Event Manager

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Assistant Event Manager is responsible for designing and delivering exceptional event experiences for our customers in Korea and internationally, in line with the General Manager's vision. They will leverage market trends and customer feedback to develop the long-term event design and identify innovative opportunities for improvement. The Assistant Event Manager will contribute to the financial, operational, and customer performance of each event, working closely with Industry Partner & Associations, Internal Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure alignment and success. They will also oversee the event floorplan, strategically managing positioning and serving as the main point of contact for all stakeholders involved.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the development of Food and Hospitality Event's strategy and enrich the value proposition in Korea and oversea exhibitions.
  • Assist Event General Manager in formulating growth strategies, identifying new revenue streams and support the sales of other exhibitions at Informa Markets.
  • Design the event experience to align with the event's strategy and customer needs.
  • Lead promotional activities and incorporate feedback for enhance customer experience.
  • Utilize KPIs and marketing techniques for effective event management and maintain the brand as a market leader.
  • Drive sales revenue, brand P&L, sponsorship, and special events.
  • Collaborate with Operations team, negotiate with venues and suppliers, nurture relationships with event partners and build relationships with key customers.
  • Implement event tools such as IIRIS, Eloqua and matchmaking platform.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline; proficiency in Korean and English speaking
  • Minimum 8 years of organising exhibition and/or convention experience.
  • Experience in developing brand and sales strategies with strong sales acumen.
  • Strong track record in managing relationships with international customers across diverse regions and cultures.
  • Independent and inspirational leadership qualities with charisma and energy.
  • Ability to build relationships at senior levels and manage high-value customer accounts.
  • Proficiency in defining sales and marketing strategies and executing targeted campaigns.
  • Experience in reporting, budgeting/forecasting, and adherence to related processes and policies.
  • Frequent Travel is required.
