W Costa Navarino is looking for an Assistant Director. The selected candidate will assist the Director of Style in the efficient operation of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring adherence to company standards, procedures, and mission. This role involves providing strong leadership to optimize day-to-day operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery, and maintaining high cleanliness and maintenance standards. The Assistant Director will work closely with team members to foster a collaborative environment, promote operational excellence, and implement strategies that enhance both guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for training, mentoring, and developing staff to maintain a high-performance team.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the daily operations of the housekeeping team , including laundry staff and providing support to the team.
  • Assist with the departmental trainings.
  • Coach team members to enhance service performance.
  • Supervises rooms, VIP rooms and public areas to provide ongoing feedback to the Director and the team. Supervises the upkeep of the entire property to maintain Brand Standards.
  • Check and maintain adequate level of supplies and material request replacement as required.
  • Carry out opening and closing procedures as detailed in the standards and procedures ensuring accurate completion of any reports.
  • Ensuring all guest comments and complaints are acted up[n promptly.
  • Create action plans and update departmental progress-based guest feedback.
  • Provide leadership, assist the team to ensure that all goals are met on a daily basis.
  • Ensures the smooth operations of all housekeeping sections by performing all tasks in adherence with the code of ethics.
  • Establishes the foundations of Housekeeping Operations through detailed planning of work and maintenance schedules, supervision of the team and proper organization and delegation of duties as directed by the Director of Style.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, ideally in a supervisory or assistant management role.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a luxury hotel or resort environment is preferred.
  • Hospitality/Tourism degree or relevant certification is preferred
  • Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Empathetic leadership style with the ability to inspire, motivate, and support a team.
  • Service-oriented with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism and a strong work ethic.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Career-driven with a strong desire for growth and self-motivation.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and manage time effectively.
