Responsibilities
- Track Physician and Ancillary Visits and Orders
- Discuss resident observations/concerns with appropriate coordinator
- Provides oversight, coaching and direction to staff as needed
- Medicaid Waiver oversight
- Facilitate the weekly Medicare/Therapy/Resident meetings
- Complete the reassessments for residents and hospital visits when appropriate
- Assist in the management of the survey process
- Assist with doctor rounds
- Attend daily clinical huddle
- Serve as the “on-call” nurse in charge on a rotating basis
- Perform any other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Education: Graduate of approved Registered Nursing program

Licensure/Certification: Valid Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license

Experience: Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a nurse in long term care. Experience as a Nursing Supervisor is highly desirable. Assisted Living knowledge preferred.

Computer Skills: Sufficient level computer skills to perform electronic medical record/submission duties

- Demonstrate knowledge of clinical standards of practice, regulations and reimbursement governing long-term care and Medicare/Medicaid participation.

- Communicate a sense of caring, concern, and dignity for residents.
- Understand how to place decision-making in the hands of the residents whenever possible and appropriate.
- Make prompt and accurate judgments with regard to resident care and emergencies.
