About the Role 

 
We are always looking for gifted, motivated graduates in the UK to join our Global Graduate Scheme, working alongside your fellow graduates and colleagues across the US, Canada, India, Italy, Colombia and more. During our twelve-month Graduate Scheme, you will work together with our team of industry experts to address some of the most complex problems in the sectors we operate in. As part of our Graduate Scheme, you will receive:

For our Amberside graduates, we offer two Learning Pathways as part of our Graduate Scheme: 

  • Pathway One – Alongside your on-the-job training, we will provide you with a fully funded accountancy qualification (ACA/CIMA) with some paid time off for study leave.  
  • Pathway Two – A personalised development programme that will provide you with the relevant in- house training in order for you to develop the skills you require to grow and perform in your role.

Requirements

We are a dynamic, agile, and entrepreneurial company looking for like-minded individuals to develop into expert consultants. We would like to hear from graduates who have an aptitude for Excel and a desire to work in a varied and fulfilling career.  

Consultants will be liaising with clients, key stakeholders, and the wider team, so good communication, confidence and strong interpersonal skills are essential to be successful in this role. Based on your abilities there will be fantastic opportunities to progress and develop in an interesting and influential sector with the opportunity to work on challenging and tangible projects that deliver impact. 

Given the variety of projects we work on, people can bring a number of different skillsets to the table, from technical/maths/accounting and excel enthusiasts to those with a more commercial advisory driven mindset.  

 

Work-life balance 

At Steer and Amberside Advisors, we believe that a healthy work-life balance is paramount to long term success, which is why all employees seeking a full-time opportunity are encouraged to spend 60% of their time either in office or on-site with clients and why we aim to keep our employee’s typical work week to 37.5 hours, reflective of client needs. Hours, expectations, and exemption status will be determined for any applicant seeking a part-time opportunity.  

  

Compensation 

Steer is committed to ensuring that all its employees are compensated a fairly and at a competitive rate. All initial compensation, regardless of location, may be subject to change as skills, abilities, internal equity, graduate scheme and geographic location are taken into account. 

In addition to base salary, all employees will be eligible for an annual discretionary performance bonus. Please review the benefits section for more information on total reward. 

Steer reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional compensation.

We offer a competitive package of benefits including private medical insurance and health screening, life assurance, group income protection, company pension scheme, EAP, Season Ticket Loan, a group Share Incentive Plan, up to 5 days for volunteering activities and a discretionary bonus scheme based on annual compensation (dependent upon individual and company performance). 

Additionally, we offer 25 days annual leave, plus the 8 bank holidays and the ability to buy and sell leave in the year to give extra flexibility.
