Who you are
Education products are critical to the future of brightwheel. We are committed to providing solutions for programs, families and teachers that free up their time to focus on providing high-quality education to every child. Brightwheel is seeking an Assessment and Content Developer to join the Education team. The Assessment and Content Developer contributes to the successful development and refinement of an authentic assessment system that measures children’s development across the year. This role requires experience in early childhood education (infant, toddler, and/or preschool-aged children), conducting research studies, and assessment development of valid and reliable assessment tools.
What You'll Do

Assessment Development: Create a valid and reliable, authentic, curriculum-based assessment for children from infant-preschool. Follow best practices in assessment design and develop an assessment guide along with supporting resources and materials.

Curriculum and Standards: Contribute to curriculum writing and revision of standards from an assessment and child development perspective. Ensure alignment between assessment and curriculum.

Research Study: Work with a third party to measure the validity and reliability of the assessment. Analyze data and trends to inform revisions.

Subject Matter Expert: Provide expertise in assessment professional development and contribute to internal training initiatives.
Qualifications, Skills, & Abilities
- Degree in Developmental Psychology, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
- Experience in curriculum and assessment development outside of the classroom.
- Experience with implementing research studies.
- In-depth knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Innovative mindset with a passion for enhancing early childhood education.
- Strong project management skills.
- Proficiency in written Spanish is preferred.
