JOB DESCRIPTION
This role will (i) facilitate international tax compliance across our four portfolios, (ii) drive the tax strategy for all of our portfolios to optimize our cash tax profile domestically and internationally, (iii) own the domestic tax operations across all of our portfolios, and (iv) support M&A and divestiture transactions. The role will manage external tax consultants, and report to the VP of Finance.

Facilitate international tax compliance across our four portfolios:
- Coordinate international tax return preparation and compliance for our entities in Australia, the U.K., and Canada (manage providers, information requests, journal entries, etc. with assistance from our international finance leaders)
- Establish transfer pricing strategies for all foreign entities
Lead the strategy for international tax compliance as our business expands into new tax jurisdictionsDrive the tax strategy for all of our portfolios to optimize our cash tax profile domestically and internationally:
- Own the overall strategy and financial model for repatriating cash from our entities in Australia, the U.K., and Canada
- Design the overall strategy for our legal entity structure (pre- and post-acquisitions and divestitures) with input from our external tax and legal consultants
- Own the strategy for establishing and maintaining intercompany loans
- Maintain the financial model to track member tax distributions
- Maintain the financial model to forecast our tax cash liability
- Lead the relationship with our external tax consultants, guiding work scoping, review and analysis
- Evaluate tax credits for implementation across the portfolio (R&D, etc.)
- Stay up-to-date on new tax legislation to guide ASG’s long-term tax strategy
Own the domestic tax operations across all of our portfolios:
- Facilitate and review the tax provision and domestic tax returns prepared by external tax consultants
- Book all tax-related journal entries (provision, payments, intercompany loans, etc.)

- You have 6 plus years of experience in tax accounting (federal partnership, corporate tax, provisions, international tax), with a minimum of 2 years in a Tax Manager role.
- Experience in a private equity-backed environment is a plus.
- You have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- You have a deep understanding of U.S. and international tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- You can distill complex tax implications into simple narratives for a wide variety of audiences
- You have experience with cap table management and equity distribution.
- You have a track record of excellent project management skills.
- You are proficient in excel and know how to navigate and update forecast models.
- You are energized by a relentless attention to detail.
- You have a passion for organization and improving processes.
- You are responsive and have a positive, solution-oriented attitude.
- You are self-directed and manage multiple deadlines.
- You possess excellent collaboration and communication skills (written and verbal).
Base Salary Range: The target salary range for this position is ($175,000 - $225,000), and is part of a competitive total rewards package including an annual bonus, employer-paid benefits, L&D stipend and incentive pay for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually at minimum to ensure competitive and fair pay.
