MAXISIQ is seeking an Army Robotics Communications Integrator / Engineer to support the Army Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO) Human Machine Integrated Formations (HMIF) Project Office (PO) collaborating to provide wired/wireless network recommendations to ensure the HMIF prototypes maintain connectivity in a highly challenged tactical RF environment. This is a full-time position located in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD and becomes available upon award around mid-December 2024.
What you will be doing in this role:
Coordinating with all responsible users and sites to resolve network or system incidents.
Translating business requirements into telecommunications (e.g., LAN, CAN, WAN, Voice and Video) requirements, designs and orders.
Performing engineering analysis of telecommunications alternatives in support of strategic modernization efforts and telecommunications enhancement design for medium and large-scale telecommunication infrastructures.
Assisting with telecommunications end users, telecommunications operations personnel, and telecommunications strategic program management with network interfaces. Analyzing design, specifications, and related documents.
Coordinating communications and networking requirements with Network Working Group, managing a multi-disciplinary HMIF SEIT and planning the development and delivery of communications and networking requirements for HMIF.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Information Technology related field of study with a network engineering focus.
Clearance: Active Secret clearance
Experience:
6 years experience - can be an equivalent combination of training, work experience and, preferably, applicable military experience
6 years progressively complex experience working collaboratively with program management, systems engineers, schedule analysts, and operations personnel in a concurrent engineering environment
5 years of direct experience with Army network development
2 years of experience managing network development teams
2 years in cyber or C4ISR systems, computers, and tactical communications systems
Desired Skills:
Demonstrated ability to author point papers and policy documents for executive approval
Demonstrated ability to brief and advise senior officers including flag and SES levels
Excellent communication skills including the ability to work on multi-functional teams
Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware
Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions
Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewall, routers, switches, controllers
Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols
Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems
Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection
Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources
Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT and outside the organization
A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Dependable and flexible when necessary
