Product Designer - EU, Remote

Our team of agile and forward-thinking product designers are looking to expand their team. Arista is growing quickly and its CloudVision product is being packed with lots of new and exciting features. There’s so much innovation and usability improvement that a new designer is needed to spearhead projects and make their stamp upon the product.

About the role

In an increasingly interconnected world, computer networks are affecting all of our lives through the flow of data between nations, organizations, and people. As a Product Designer for our CloudVision product, you’ll reimagine how computer networks are deployed, managed, and monitored. This will see your designs used by some of the largest organizations out there, from tech to banking, government agencies to telecommunication companies, and everything in between. And it will be exciting: you’ll think creatively to resolve user problems, reduce complexity into an effortless UI, and really feel that you’ve achieved something.

  • Identify high-impact business problems and define the features and user experiences to solve them.

  • Transform business and customer requirements into effective, efficient, and elegant solutions.

  • Use strong systems thinking to enhance existing workflows and experiences for scalability.

  • Conduct user research and data analysis to understand user needs, behaviors, and motivators that lead to engagement and realization of customer value.

  • Translate abstract concepts into simple, elegant, and innovative designs expressed in sketches, diagrams, rapid prototypes, and final design executions.

  • Partner with Product Management and Engineering team members to understand customers and markets, develop product strategies and detailed requirements and designs, and ensure successful release to market.

  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of your design solutions and identify strategies for enhancement and improvement.

  • Demonstrate accountability and ownership of your work and responsibility for every detail, every step of the way.

  • Contribute to evolving design practices and resources, supporting the digital maturity of our organization.

What you’ll need

Let’s not mince words! The CloudVision UI is large and its workflows extend across multiple screens so you’ll need to be an experienced designer who enjoys being challenged. You’ll have a continual desire to test and improve your design skills, think outside the box, and clearly explain design principles to non-designers.

If this sounds like you, and you meet the below requirements, we’d love to hear from you!

  • Has 5+ years of professional experience in a Product Design role within an enterprise environment

  • Has a portfolio that demonstrates clear design thinking, craftsmanship, and measurable impact

  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity in a complex enterprise environment with a solution-oriented attitude

  • Effortlessly balances multiple projects and competing priorities while communicating trade-offs

  • Is fluent in standard methodologies for information architecture and interaction design, user-centered design processes, and a strong knowledge of UX principles and techniques

  • An excellent communicator that articulates design decisions and evangelizes the value of design and how it impacts the product.

  • Has strong analytical skills, using qualitative and quantitative data to guide design decisions

  • Has a deep sense of ownership and accountability for the quality of work you lead and deliver

  • Humility, enthusiasm, and ability to build relationships, foster trust, and develop shared understanding
