The Area Sales Manager role is demand generation and support partners to achieve revenue targets. This role will a key area in planning and ensuring of building and closing a pipeline of opportunities in the designated area; the development and management of Promethean’s relationship with customers in the territory, ensuring that they are educated on the nature and benefits of or offerings and technologies, and are enabled and motivated to buy (or promote) Promethean solutions. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop an area management plan and build a pipeline in assigned sales area
  • Demand generation including influencing tenders upfront throughout regular visits of decision makers and buyers
  • Be able to articulate the Promethean value proposition and demonstrate the benefits of Promethean solutions
  • Presenting and selling of complex and in need for explanation solutions
  • Supporting partners and resellers with demonstration, providing leads, trainings
  • Developing business with new and existing clients and identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas
  • Develop, maintain, and grow sales prospects and new opportunities with new and current customers in the area with the purpose of increasing revenue, margin, and market share
  • Build and maintain strong long-lasting customer relationships
  • Forecast and supervise key account metrics including pipeline and lead management
  • Setting and execution of objectives and critical metrics
  • Sales experience preferred in either education or technology markets
  • Experience of selling sophisticated and in need for explanation solutions
  • Knowledge of SalesForce.com or equivalent CRM software
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • English language skills required

Skills and Qualifications:

  • An academic degree, preferably in an Education related field.
  • Must be based in North West Germany on the patch for this role
  • Ability to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events
  • Excellent interpersonal, influential and communication skills with the ability to interpret and present technical information effectively
  • Experience in developing and delivering training and demonstration materials and editing digital content
  • Well-organised, self-directed and motivated teammate, open to others’ ideas, willing to learn, detail orientated with pride in producing high-quality work

Salary Range €55,000 - €71,000 Plus Commission Eligible
