Responsibilities
Wider Circle’s Area Manager will be responsible for implementing and managing Medicaid programs as outlined by the Implementation and Leadership teams - including developing, implementing, and maintaining documentation to support daily operations, managing a team of field operators, and other duties as necessary to ensure compliance with Medicaid contracts in Delaware.
Successful candidates must possess exceptional operational and organizational skills, as well as the ability to successfully handle multiple projects at a time. The goal of this role is to ensure on-the-ground operational support for the Connect For Life program and improve program execution statewide.
- You will support Community Engagement Specialists and Leads as they run the Connect For Life program, using Wider Circle developed curriculum to build trust, promote healthy behaviors, and engage with their community.
- You will organize onboarding and on-the-job training, both in the classroom and in the field, for Community Engagement Specialists and Leads.
- You will help plan and host virtual and in-person events for members, fostering relationships with and between members to help encourage positive health actions.
- You will work with Community Engagement Specialists and Leads to reach out to members to check in on them and encourage participation in community-based events and other small and large group activities.
- You will create partnerships with local community-based organizations to bring additional services to our members’ attention.
- You will record details of your interactions with members on a computer, tablet, or smartphone.
- You will help Community Engagement Specialists and Leads identify members who are natural leaders that can serve as Wider Circle Ambassadors to help connect with other members and organize community meetings.
- You will connect with prospective members and develop individualized plans for them to take positive health actions.
- You will serve as a liaison, connecting members to their health plans and each other.
- You will hold yourself and your field team accountable for achieving engagement and growth goals, monitoring the success of the program by tracking attendance, feedback, and other operational metrics.
- You will be the first line of defense in helping Community Engagement Specialists and Leads solve their daily needs - scheduling/event needs, technical issues, etc.
- You will scout for, recruit, and onboard field staff, including planning and delivering training in the form of educational programs and support groups.
- You will analyze operations to identify inefficiencies, helping to plan and implement initiatives to improve operations.
- You will maintain schedules of field staff availability and manage hours and payroll.
Requirements
- Associate degree in management, healthcare-related field, or equivalent experience of at least 2 years
- 4-5 years of experience in operations and management within a healthcare setting (health plan, managed care organization, etc.)
- Volunteer experience
- Medicaid experience a plus
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- History of strong team-building skills, including recruiting and developing a team
- Communicate effectively with diverse populations
- Exceptional working knowledge of GSuite, Salesforce, and reporting databases
- Travel statewide
