Applied Deep Learning Research Scientist

Become a part of this mission by joining us as an Applied Deep Learning Research Scientist for Time Series/Forecasting in Core AI, our AI center of excellence. You will work directly with our Chief Technology and Product Officer and Chief Economist who are building a foundation in tech AI solving problems for fortune 500 companies using applied economics and data science. 

Position overview:

As a Principal Applied Research Scientist with expertise in deep learning for time series forecasting your work will span across industries. You will develop algorithms that enable transformative solutions for our customers through unique AI solutions to automate mission-critical processes that boost collaboration and productivity while reducing waste and modernizing operations. You will be part of an integrated technical team and should be collaborative in nature, with expertise in applied data and machine learning science working along engineering teams putting your models into production. Your ability to understand the operating decisions we can power by AI and how to improve their impact over time will help Core AI achieve engineering excellence and operational efficiency for our customers.

If you can partner closely with business leaders, Product Managers, Data Scientists, Economists, Research Scientists, Software and Machine Learning Engineers to build end-to-end deep deep learning forecasting solutions from the ground up and are ready to accelerate your career and grow your skills beyond what you could imagine, apply today! This position is based in Bellevue, Washington with a requirement to be onsite in the office four days per week. 

Basic Qualifications:  

  • PhD in machine learning, statistics, industrial engineering, operations research, optimization, or equivalent quantitative field. 
  • 7+ years of machine learning and statistical modeling. 
  • 4+ years' experience with neural deep learning modeling.
  • 3+ years' experience with with time series forecasting modeling.
  • Able to effectively communicate technical concepts across a wide range of audiences. 

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Algorithm development with a focus in supply chain. 
  • Experience working in a Big Tech company, e.g. Amazon, Google, Meta. 
  • Advanced knowledge of many core technologies and programming paradigms in a field such as Generative AI, Statistics, Quantitative Analysis. 
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, self-directed entrepreneurial environment. 

US Salary Range: $210,000 - $265,000 base, plus an annual discretionary bonus, 401k contribution, and competitive benefits package. Actual compensation within the range will depend upon the level the individual is hired into based on their skills, experience, qualifications.
