Application Engineer / Infrastructure

This position will require you to work onsite in Rancho Cordova, CA.  The Lab Infrastructure Application Engineer works closely with Customer Technical Excellence sub-teams to help provide best-in-class customer experience for Solidigm clients and improve internal projects efficiency. Responsibilities include tracking incoming customer issues in CRM, doing initial failure analysis and issue intake, participating in samples rework, and publishing/presenting regular updates, consulting on SSD updates and scripts; setting up servers for remote access, managing HW inventory of the lab.  

We’re looking for different skillsets for a variety of projects: from Python scripting to data analytics. The AE will be organized, self-directed, responsible, active learner, exhibit effective communication and have strong problem solving skills. Additionally, knowledge of PC/SSD architecture, Microsoft Office and/or Linux, Python and PowerBI is preferred depending on the assigned project. 

Objectives 

High-level: 

A.  Provide Subject Matter expertise to Sustaining Revenue Team and Samples lab team to help effectively and timely move customer tickets along the resolution process. 

b. Manage issue intake in JIRA/other CRM 

c. Track issue progress till engineering stage, help with issue debug, replication and next steps 

d. Attend weekly SRT sync meetings 

e. Work with Sustaining Revenue Team team and Samples lab team on training, tools and process 

f. Set up servers for remote access for testing and benchmarking 

g. Maintain HW inventory for the labs

Tasks include: 

  •  Initial failure analysis Python scripting for SSD FW updates with a log output. 
  •  Working with assigned teams on internal projects and processes Collecting and analyzing data from CRMs 
  • Assembling PC and server systems for testing and issue replication, including Windows and Linux OS installation 
  • Manage Lab inventory (equipment, samples), workstations, and benches 
  •  Setup and maintenance for servers, racks, switches and network, including remote access 
  •  Intake, prioritize, assign, and manage Lab requests 
  • Actively manage Samples Loan Program tasks (fulfillment, shipment, return, rework/cleanup, re-inventory) 
  • Bachelor's Degree . 
  • CIS, MIS, CS or engineering majors 
  • Basic Python Knowledge 
  • Basic Hardware Knowledge (Ability to build a system) 
    • knowledge of PC/SSD architecture 
  • Ability to document technical processes for collaborative work.  
  • Familiarity with installation of Operating Systems (Window & Linux) 
  • Exhibit effective communication and have strong problem solving skills. 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

For California, Colorado, New York, Washington, and remote roles: The compensation range for this role is $66,300 to $99,440. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
