ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for an Application Engineer to join the Data Science team at CompStak to help serve ML solutions. This full stack position will be responsible for building tooling that serves CompStak’s Data Ops team with Machine Learning solutions that provide actionable insights and improve data processing operations with ML driven Human-in-the-Loop workflow. The role will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of data sources and models to enrich the most comprehensive Knowledge Graph for the commercial real estate industry.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement web applications and APIs that consume ML model results, using Python and FastAPI framework
- Develop intuitive user interfaces that effectively display and interact with ML model outputs using no-code or low-code tools such as Retool
- Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to understand model outputs and integrate them seamlessly into applications
- Optimize application performance and responsiveness when dealing with large datasets and complex model outputs
- Develop and maintain documentation for application architecture and API integrations
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 2+ years of experience building, scaling, and optimizing Python applications systems
- Strong proficiency in Python programming and RESTful API design with FastAPI and Pydantic framework experience
- Experienced in developing and deploying with container technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker
- Experienced in data query and wrangling with cloud platforms and storages such as AWS S3, Postgres and Neo4j
- Familiarity with no-code or low-code UI building tools such as Retool
- Basic front-end JavaScript development knowledge and skill sets is a big plus
