About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled anime animator to bring their original psychological horror story to life as a 10-episode anime series. The project combines Japanese animation aesthetics with Western psychological horror elements, aiming to break new ground in the anime genre through its unique narrative approach and dark themes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and establish the overall visual style and tone for the series
• Create character designs that reflect both anime aesthetics and psychological horror elements
• Storyboard key scenes and emotional moments
• Direct the animation process and maintain consistency across episodes

Requirements

• Extensive experience in anime animation and direction
• Strong portfolio demonstrating versatility in animation styles
• Proven ability to handle dark and psychological themes in animation
• Experience in character design and visual development
• Understanding of both anime and horror genre conventions
