Mobile Software Engineer (Android)
As part of the Store-in-store team, you will be working on an innovative product that aims to create a dedicated place for brands and retailers within the broader Allegro platform in multiple countries. We are part of the Allegro Group, which ranks among the ten most visited e-commerce websites in the world. Development teams at Allegro consist of more than 1,700 IT specialists. We are now looking for talented Android Mobile app developer (mid) for permanent employment to join our team and help accelerate the growth of our solution.
Who are we?
We aim to create a dedicated place for brands and retailers within the Allegro platform in several countries
We create components for customers, as well as tools for administrators representing brands and retailers
Our daily challenge is solving complex customer problems on a large-scale technological platform
Our product involves several closely collaborating teams based in Prague and Brno
Each team consists of a Product Manager, Front-end and Back-end developers, QA engineer and a UX designer
We work in agile methodology - Kanban
We constantly improve processes and introduce new technologies
We meet 1-2 times a week in the office, go out for lunch, or have a team breakfast together (we do not want to see each other only on Zoom, but we also do not need to be in the office every day)
Occasionally we collaborate with colleagues from Poland, documenting in English, but internal team communication is in Czech
We are looking for a new colleague who would help us speed-up our mobile app development as a dedicated Mobile Software Engineer
Who are you?:
Understand the app development process, from design to App Store release
Android:
Know Android SDK inside out, both from the user's and developer's perspective
Understand what’s under the hood of Gradle build process
Are fluent in Kotlin. Our codebase is 100% migrated to Kotlin
Are proficient in Android Studio and have experience in using version control systems
Have hands-on experience with object-oriented programming, algorithms, and data structures
Have experience in maintaining Continuous Integration environments
Like to work with technologies that go beyond the mobile stack
Have strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teams both online and offline and resolve issues promptly
Have excellent debugging skills to troubleshoot and find creative solutions when faced with technical challenges
Are hands-on and problem-solving oriented
Can search for efficient solutions to meet users’ requirements
Are eager to continuously develop their skills and update their knowledge
You know Czech and English (at B2 level minimum)
You can meet us at least once a week in the office in Prague Holešovice
