Responsibilities and Duties

• Carry out the development tasks assigned by the product manager (V2)
• Maintain, update and deploy the Android apps core and instances (V2, V4)
• Develop features using Java and Kotlin languages (V2, V4)
• Integrate data from various back-end services and databases (V2, V4)
• Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using the best software development practices (V2, V4)
• Monitor app performance and development analytics (V2)
• Participate in the daily stand-up meetings, retrospectives and other meetings involved in the SCRUM process  (V1, V2)
• Collaborate with the Support, QA and delivery teams (V1, V3)
• Track and log the time spent in each development task (V2)

Lines of communication

• The Android Developer reports to the Apps Product Owner.
• The Android Developer communicates with other members of the development team, QA and, occasionally, support.

Working conditions

• Minimum 100% availability as an employee of Spotlio Spain SL.

Qualifications and requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in development of native apps using the Android Studio IDE
• Good knowledge of Java and Kotlin programming languages
• Knowledge of Android Patterns (MVVM, MVP, MVC, etc.)
• Usage of the GIT version control system
• Motivated to work in a development team and collaborate with other team members
• Able to read technical documentation in English
• Knowledge on the usage of the Fastlane suite of tools
• Knowledge of Retrofit, ROOM
• Nice to have knowledge of Jetpack Compose
• Testing methodologies and tools
• Continuous deployment/integration tools
• Experience in applying the GitFlow workflow
• Proficiency in writing and having a conversation in English and Spanish
