Our client, an innovative, client-focused boutique HEOR consulting firm is growing! We’re looking for a Senior Biostatistician to join their team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in statistics or biostatistics and proficiency in statistical programming using SAS and/or R.
In this role, you will utilize real-world data to conduct a range of health care economic, clinical effectiveness, and burden of illness analyses to support pharmaceutical products throughout their life cycles across a range of disease areas.

In this role, you will be responsible for the analysis of studies that inform healthcare decision-making and contribute to the development of innovative solutions for their clients!
In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement HEOR studies for tier one pharmaceutical companies.

Conduct statistical analyses to derive insights from complex healthcare databases, ensuring accuracy and relevance to client objectives.

Write statistical code and collaborate across projects on results auditing.

Communicate findings through comprehensive reports and presentations, translating complex statistical concepts into actionable recommendations for clients.

Reference EMR (electronic medical records) and claims databases and work with data vendors.
Skills and experience you bring:
- Master’s or PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology, or a related field.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in biostatistics within the HEOR or pharmaceutical industry, or a relevant industry.
- Proficiency in statistical programming languages including SAS and R; experience with other programming tools (e.g., Python, Stata) is a plus.

Strong understanding of statistical methodologies and their applications in health economics and outcomes research.

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings effectively.
- Strong communication skills, entrepreneurial spirited and an openness to out of the box creative problem solving.
- Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) databases and claims databases is preferred.
Location: Ideally you live in the GTA, but we’re open to remote in Canada where you’ll be working in EST time zone.
