The Analyst, Data Science in Country Insight Group (CIG) will be responsible for maintaining data and support analytical projects, and operations of country insights group activities which includes – maintaining large data sets and building data processes, on time delivery, and proactively engaging with data scientists and economists on product enhancement, contribute to concepts and ideas, implement automation and improvements within the Country Insight group activities.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Reports
- Maintain databases to integrate with existing database and data workflows. Work with data scientists and economists to extract relevant data and information across countries and convert image & text into possible actionable information/data and assist economists in capturing prevalent theme within a given country.
- Partnering with team to enhance data and content assets to achieve shared goals for database coverage, completeness, and accuracy. Partnering with cross functional teams (data scientists, economists, editors) for ideas and execution of those ideas.
- Data Management
- Maintain, and support implementation of data management solutions and processes, databases, MS Excel files.
- Partner with the team to analyse new data assets and sources to ensure they meet the appropriate quality standards. Recommends and executes activities to continuously improve data maintenance processes and workflows and deliver data quality standards.
- Mine and analyse data from databases to drive optimization and improvements in products, techniques and business strategies.
- Understanding insights and business requirements to make and implement recommendations for data improvements from a source, workflow and content perspective for the CIG team.
- Business Operation
- Maintenance of database for reports, data extraction process and delivery of reports as per set framework.
- ontent delivery management across product and platforms.
- Marketing support/Client support
- Create highly impactful headlines which can be used for marketing CIG products and generate leads.
- Understanding D&B products and use-cases and accordingly create text in the headlines which can lead to cross-sell opportunities for other products within the D&B product family.
- Work with sales representatives across country/markets and collect client feedback on the product and suggest ways to improve the products.
Key Requirements
- Master’s degree in economics, statistics, engineering, or quantitative field.
- Ability to write and de-bug programs in VBA, Python, and SQL
- Advanced level of expertise in Microsoft Office suits, especially MS Excel, Power BI, Power Query, Power Apps, and Tableau.
- 2-4 years of experience with statistical models, time series modeling, computer vision, and experience with earth observation data would be a plus
- A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques (NLP, computer vision, web-scraping, big data, process automation, machine learning)
- Excellent communication and data presentation skills
- Capable of working across multiple assignments to produce quality output.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and communicate effectively across all levels.
