Analyst 3, Finance (Costing)

  • Perform Engineering Change Order (ECO) processes and debug analysis;
  • Monthly managerial accounting close and reporting responsibilities (inventory related movements transactions analysis via PO/WO/SO; warranty; RMA reserves; etc)
  • Ensure compliance with corporate SOX and key controls, adherence to US GAAP and other statutory requirements and support for audit requirements
  • Complete defined closing reports; analyze big flux with reasonable explanations and have capability to design/enhance new requested reports and related modeling;
  • Performs specific monitoring related to EXR changes and std cost revaluation; aware the workstream impact and make recommendations to enhance efficiencies in flow.
  • Performs detailed cost and financial analyses and makes recommendations regarding different cases and the proper accounting for transactions. Assists in solving complex technical problems in areas where no precedent exists.
  • Performs specific tasks on inventory costing, including R&D cost centers and new product BU segment related costs, and calculating yield/ recovery rates (e.g., BOM, WO, warranty, RMA); prepares related reports for review.
  • Performs specialized financial or cost analyses (e.g., product cost bridge; routing analysis, yield analysis, CC analysis, inventory reserve analysis); prepares related reports for stakeholders - Top management, Auditor, BU segment.
  • May provide ad-hoc analyses and report of information as requested

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or equivalent professional accounting qualification with at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in manufacturing cost accounting and Analysis Roles (MNC FMCG is preferred).
  • Master in SAP, Expert in all Microsoft office tools is a must. Power BI is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skill and logical thinking. Able to sense check the logic and challenge the assumption/ numbers/ business scenario/ etc.
  • Ability to analyze business direction driven and focus on best practices in terms of process and financial analysis;
  • Self-motivator, with ability to work independently, with minimal guidance under pressure;
  • Collaborate well with multi-functional parties.

PREFERRED:

  • Professional accounting certificate is a plus but not a must;
  • Capability to manage workload distribution across different geographies and different time zones
  • Extensive experience in cost controlling, cost accounting, or a related role
  • Ability to work well with multiple teams and different cultures

SKILLS:

  • Excellent command of spoken and written English is mandatory.
