AMEA Regional Product Siting Manager

Location – Pune 

Role purpose
 

  •  Responsible for developing and delivering product siting and new product introduction (NPI) initiatives, linking with other functions to ensure cost effective and efficient decisions aligned to business needs.
  •  To enable successful business outcomes and deliver supply chain strategic and tactical siting decisions and executions to enable the regional 5 year plans.
  •  To support the delivery and coordination of multi-functional supply chain strategic projects as part of the global and regional supply chain strategic priorities.

Accountabilities

  •  Develop formulation, fill and pack (FF&P) product siting proposals to support NPI and network optimization initiatives. Ensure business goals are met, guaranteeing compliance with local legislations as well as Product Siting policies and procedures, and ensuring that key stakeholders are involved and aligned with lead-times, cost assumptions and project milestones.
    •  Elaborate and visualize the trade-offs of siting options incl. make or buy analysis
    •  Ensure timely execution of all steps needed to ensure siting decisions of a product in the region.
    •  Coordinate the required activities involved in the evaluation and decision-making process (Business cases, customer requirements analysis, product and process change control process (PPCC) follow-up, technical analysis, registrations evaluations, raw materials, packaging, Risk Analysis, IR Matrix, technical capabilities validation, environmental license, etc.)
    •  Consolidate Global Technical documents (A-card, Manufacturing procedure, MSDS, analytical method, packaging test reports) to support or perform feasibility analysis.
    •  Define feasibility of introduction of New Products for Sites or Tollers aligned with all areas involved (PT&E, HSE&Q, Manufacturing, Finance)
  •  Support Regional Head Supply Chain Strategy, in supporting or even leading specified regional supply chain processes and/or projects.
  •  Maintain an understanding of the business context relating to the role scope, e.g. through establishing close links with Regional Supply Chain Operations Team Leads, PT&E leaders and regional CPD organization connected to a particular technology area.
  • Core member of the Regional Supply Chain Strategy team and participates in the Regional Siting Team.

 Knowledge, Experience & Capabilities

  •  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent ( in Engineering or Science)
  •  Fluent in English
  •  Appreciation of Manufacturing, Supply Chain design and strategy or HSE is beneficial
     

Critical Experience

  •  Min 5 years in managing production, formulation engineering or supply operations in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry
  • Proven strong experience in working in regulated environments
  •  Program or project management experience (ideally with a qualification in one of Syngenta’s recognized approaches (e.g., PMP, Prince2 etc.)
  •  Several years of working experience in complex, country, regional, global environment where many project members and stakeholders are remote.
  •  Working experience with standard project management methodologies and tools, including Microsoft Teams & MS Office Applications (very good skills in Excel), Smartsheet, Power BI, Sharepoint, etc.
  • Understanding of the political pressures on stakeholders and the business realities they face.
