Founded in 2008, AlphaSights is the global leader in knowledge on-demand. We connect investors and business leaders with the knowledge they need to succeed. Working from nine cities globally, our 1500+ colleagues provide round-the-clock coverage to the world's top investment funds, consultancies and Fortune 500s. Learn more about us at alphasights.com.

Competition details

This competition is intended to provide a learning and skill-building experience and will encourage healthy competition. It will also provide you an opportunity to learn more about AlphaSights and potential career opportunities with our company.

One week before the competition you will receive a sample project for which you will need to find relevant industry experts. During the competition, you will have 15 minutes to present your findings to an AlphaSights Vice President. Each teammate must propose and present one expert each, along with a few questions to ask the expert to ensure they are a good fit for the client. Please prepare your findings in a slide deck and be prepared to engage in a more detailed conversation with the judges about your rationale for picking these experts. In a final slide or two, please include (1) the order in which you think the clients should take the calls and (2) what you would proactively suggest to the client as the next two calls in their project based on what you have learned.

In addition to the presentation, you will perform a mock phone call, role-playing as an Associate at AlphaSights speaking to the expert. You will spend five minutes introducing yourself, AlphaSights, why you think they would be a good fit and determining if their background and experience would be helpful to the clients.

Requirements to participate:

  • Undergraduate Juniors & Seniors  (Class of 2026 & 2025)
  • Track record of strong academic performance (minimum GPA of 3.3)
