Job Function: 2 to 4 years of experience in Retail Supply Chain - planning and allocation, merchandising planning, inventory management and forecasting • Communicates with various levels of management including Planning and Allocation managers, replenishment manager, financial planners and buyers Allocation
Responsibilities – • Creates and directs the allocation strategy for area of responsibility in support of assortment plans and ensures consistency and accuracy of allocation analysis and tacticalactions. • Responsible to ensure allocation objectives are met and to ensure proper execution of all allocations. • Drives pre-season and post-season analysis and reviews to uncover opportunities and risks across classes. • Develops recommendations for in-season changes and pre-season assortment plans and flow to ensure maximization of objectives. • Responsible for hindsight review from previous seasons and plan for future seasons with analysis and recommendations • Communicates with various levels of management including Planning and Allocation managers, replenishment manager, financial planners and buyers Replenishment Responsibilities - • Owns dynamic forecast and coverage policies for basic items at the store/SKU level within the DCM (Demand Chain Management) tool. • Manage system setup/maintenance pertaining to sales forecasting, store profiles, trending, location/product attributes and promotional activity. • As part of Sales Forecasting for Stores/Ecom, Review F/C accuracy report for lots outside acceptable tolerance and provide analysis for out of tolerance lots to determine rootcause. • For Store Profiles (IPC) Stores/Ecom, provide strategies for lot grouping based onmerchandise expertise • Understand and communicate outside events affecting trend Including; non-comp Marketing, cannibalization, store base changes etc and prepare analysis on current item trend • Understand all location/SKU attributes that need to be maintained and kept up to date • Reviews annual Store Grade changes that effect attributes and communicates actions needed to maintain attribute integrity • For Promotional Events, Create Promotion Policies as needed for non-comp Marketingevents • Monitors weekly sales and order forecast to ensure service level and in-stock objectives are met. • Creates/maintains item plans for Basics and reconciles to system forecast and Merchandise Action Team (MAT) open-to-buy. • Drives a periodic assortment and SKU optimization process and partners with MAT toexecute basic assortment plans based upon Buyer’s intent. • Coordinates with JCP Production Forecasting team to manage projections given todirect suppliers. • Communicates and coordinates with the Business Units on projected receipt forecasts for open-to-buy management. • Performs analysis to uncover opportunities and risks and communicates recommendation to the MAT to meet sales, profit, and inventory objectives • Communicates and coordinates with all domestic replenishment vendors regarding forecast impacts, production needs and fill rate issues. • Meet established performance standards for the role consistently, including (but not limited to) sales, in stocks/customer service, profit, inventory turn, productivity and attendance.
Skillsets: • Critical thinking, Problem Solving & Decision-making • Business planning and financial analysis, Allocation, Planning, Buying, Merchandising, Inventory Control and Supply Chain knowledge • Proficiency in DCM/JDA/EFAs or other planning and allocation operating system • Experience with Oracle Planning & Reporting tools a plus • Proficiency in intermediate excel
