AI Software Engineer, Sales Innovation Team

MongoDB seeks a software engineer to help level-up the Engineering Corps and grow its sales tools offerings by orders of magnitude. The Engineering Corps’ remit is to realize and develop internal technical solutions to problems facing individual employees, teams, departments, and the company as a whole. The Sales Innovation Team works closely with the Sales teams to optimize their productivity and efficiency by supplying the right tools and data for their daily basis work.

This role can be based out of our Barcelona office or remotely in Spain.

Our ideal candidate:

• Has 2+ years of experience working with AI

• Has some experience in Generative AI
• Has some experience in Software Development
• Is familiar with source-control systems, preferably Git

• Has excellent communication skills and a desire to experiment
• Is collaborative, detail-oriented, and passionate about developing usable software
• Interest in exploring their applications through LLMs and other emerging technologies
• Builds great things alone, but the greatest things in collaboration with others

Position Expectations:

• Build, test, and iterate to validate innovative solutions' feasibility and potential impact
• Contribute to functional specifications and design
• Regularly review application code
• Work with the Sales Teams to understand how they do business and develop technical solutions to help them do so more efficiently and effectively
• Have lots of fun doing all of the above things

Success Measures:

• In three months you will have made several small contributions to our codebase and documentation. You will be familiar with our products

• In six months you will be familiar with our roadmap and making regular contributions

• In one year you will be well on your way towards developing a major feature (or two!)
