AI/ML Research Engineer

We are looking for an AI/ML Research Engineer with 2-3 years of experience in AI projects, strong skills in Python and ML frameworks, and a solid understanding of state-of-the-art AI methodologies. The role involves designing and developing advanced AI models, leading impactful research projects, and mentoring junior team members. Ideal candidates will have a background in large-scale data processing, problem-solving, and effective communication, with bonus points for experience in cloud environments, published research, and advanced degrees in AI or ML.

Requirements

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Design and develop novel AI models and ML algorithms.
• Focusing on state-of-the-art AI research and literature
• Benchmarking current solutions and defining the baseline of models/processes
• Leading projects with an impact-driven approach
• Conduct in-depth research to identify new approaches and techniques.
• Analyze complex datasets and extract valuable insights.
• Coaching, mentoring, and collaborating with junior team members
• Creating reports of the experiments and analyses
• Publish research findings in academic journals or conferences.

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of working experience in AI projects
• Proficiency in Python programming language and Machine Learning libraries and AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, or similar)
• Good knowledge of the state of the art of technologies in relevant fields (ML, AI)
• Analytical and with the ability to set requirements and break problems into smaller task
• Experience with large-scale data processing 
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to tackle complex research questions.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
• Good communication skills to present findings and collaborate effectively.
• BSc in Computer Science or Engineering or related field

• Extra points if they have a MEng or MSc in AI  / Machine Learning or a related field
• Prior experience or some foundation in working with big data and high-throughput systems
• Extra points if they have previous working experience in a cloud-native environment (preferably AWS)
• Extra points if  they have paper publications  in AI/ML research area.
