AI, Data and SW Architecture Lead

Phase 1: Current State Assessment

·        Assess the current data & hardware infrastructure of the existing WeBOC system.

·        Understand business requirements by reviewing available requirements documents and engaging stakeholders.

·        Understand technical requirements by analyzing system specifications and legacy infrastructure.

·        Identify and finalize the scope for WeBOC modules to be developed and their corresponding go-live dates to ensure alignment across teams.

·        Identify gaps, challenges, and areas of improvement in data management, database performance, and security.

·        Define high-level requirements and objectives for the new WeBOC data infrastructure.

·        Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure business needs and technical considerations are aligned.

·        Deliverable: Current State and Scope Document.

Phase 2: Database Design

·        Develop a logical and physical database model, ensuring scalability and compliance with regulatory requirements.

·        Ensure the database design accommodates future growth and evolving needs.

·        Define data governance and security standards for the new system.

·        Deliverable: Comprehensive database design document based on the scope document.

Phase 3: Database Development

·        Develop the database architecture, implementing the designed schema.

·        Optimize database performance, indexing, and query execution.

·        Implement data security, access controls, and compliance measures.

·        Deliverable: Fully functional and tested database system based on the scope document.

Phase 4: Data Migration

·        Develop a migration strategy to transition data from the old WeBOC system.

·        Ensure data integrity, consistency, and validation throughout the migration process.

·        Conduct extensive data quality checks and performance testing.

·        Deliverable: Successfully migrated data to the new system based on the scope document.

Phase 5: Data Architecture for Reporting, AI/ML, & Model Development

·        Design a data warehouse or lakehouse architecture for reporting and analytics.

·        Establish data pipelines and ETL processes to enable structured reporting.

·        Define AI/ML use cases and prepare data for model training and deployment.

·        Develop and train AI/ML models for predictive analytics and decision support.

·        Implement AI/ML solutions into WeBOC operations, integrating them with existing systems.

·        Develop BI reporting solutions and dashboards, leveraging data models for real-time insights.

·        Deliverable: Deployed AI/ML models and fully operational BI reporting system based on the agreed upon use cases in the scope document.

Phase 6: Optimization, Knowledge Transfer & Reporting Implementation

·        Continuously monitor database and data architecture performance.

·        Optimize query performance, indexing strategies, and data pipelines.

·        Provide training and knowledge transfer sessions for PSW technical teams.

·        Implement and fine-tune reporting tools and dashboards.

·        Deliverable: Fully optimized system with knowledge transfer resources and implemented reporting tools based on the mutually agreed deliverables for training and knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration techniques.
• Experience with AI/ML, GenAI, and Agentic AI technologies.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and cloud-based data solutions.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

These Terms of Reference (TORs) are agreed upon for the fixed term of this contract. Any modifications, additions, or amendments to these TORs shall require mutual written consent from both parties. Such changes shall not alter the fixed duration or fundamental terms of the contract unless expressly agreed in writing by both parties.
