The Software Engineering Artificial Intelligence (AI) Architect ensures that innovation opportunities from AI systems and solutions are accomplished and integrated into the software engineering processes and tools of T-Systems Portfolio Area Digital.
As key player in the strategic AI Roll-out initiative you are consulting strategic projects in making use of Artificial Intelligence tools and bring learnings back to AI implementation projects. You ensure that AI technology is converted into standards and make sure that projects can apply them in a mass roll-out.
Tasks
- Consult AI implementation projects in designing robust and scalable AI architectures.
- Consult SE projects in understanding of AI potentials, identifying opportunities for leveraging AI technologies.
- Oversee the deployment of AI tools in the business areas, ensure coordination between several projects and align feature needs.
- Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs, goals, and challenges. Analyze and translate business requirements into technical specifications that align with AI capabilities.
- Data Acquisition and Preparation: Define strategies for data collection, preprocessing, and feature engineering. Identify relevant data sources and establish data pipelines to ensure high-quality input for AI models.
- Algorithm Selection and Optimization: Evaluate various AI algorithms and frameworks to determine the best approach for a given problem. Fine-tune and optimize AI models to enhance performance, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Model Deployment and Integration: Collaborate with development teams to integrate AI models into existing software systems or design new software modules. Ensure seamless deployment and integration of AI solutions, considering factors like scalability, reliability, and security.
- Performance Monitoring and Improvement: Establish monitoring mechanisms to track the performance of AI models in production. Analyze system behavior, identify bottlenecks, and implement strategies to optimize and improve AI solution performance over time.
- Documentation and Communication: Prepare technical documentation, architectural diagrams, and presentations to effectively communicate AI design decisions, implementation strategies, and project progress to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- University degree with an IT specialization and at least 5 years of professional experience.
- Ability to take over technical leadership and to drive AI technology in a transformation program
- Knowledge about AI models and technologies e.g. Neural Networks, Diffusion Models, Machine Learning patterns
- Optionally knowledge about software rights in context of AI (property rights, licence models …)
- At least 5 years of practice in programming of applications with Java or similar programming language and with tools and frameworks supporting the SE process (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, CI pipelines with Jenkins, Test tool like XRAY, QC, UFT)
- Proven project management experience and experience in deployment initiatives.
- Knowledge of different project models like classic approach, agile methods (e.g. Scrum, SAFe, ...) and DevOps
- High team and communication skills, ability of consulting
- High level of commitment and accountability
- Language skills in English, fluent verbal and written. German language is optional
