Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the preparation of all hot pot ingredients
  • Ensure the highest quality of food preparation and presentation in accordance with Ah Yat Abalone's standards
  • Maintain knowledge of traditional and contemporary hot pot techniques and recipes
  • Monitor and ensure food consistency, flavor, and temperature
  • Work closely with the Head Chef to develop and refine the hot pot menu
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate and ensure the efficient flow of kitchen operations
  • Train and supervise junior kitchen staff and apprentices, providing guidance and feedback
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Manage inventory and supplies related to hot pot ingredients, ensuring timely ordering and stock rotation
  • Control food costs and minimize waste through efficient kitchen practices
  • Address and resolve any customer complaints or concerns related to hot pot dishes

Requirements

  • Only for Indonesian Citizen
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a high-end restaurant, with a focus on Chinese cuisine and hot pot
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to culinary excellence
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication skills in English. Knowledge of Mandarin or other Chinese dialects is a plus
  • Diploma degree in Culinary or certified equivalent professional training in a related major. Bachelor’s Degree is desirable
