Affiliate Java Software Engineer

We’re looking for experienced Java Software Engineers to join our network of Affiliates. You’ll have the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of clients in Leeds, on a contract basis.

Requirements

• Solid development experience of working as an engineer in a commercial environment, a  good understanding of Java and wider experience in different tools and frameworks and across the stack. 
• Commercial experience working with agile methodologies.
• Experience dealing with challenges from stakeholders on technical issues and influencing technical decisions in the team.
• Understanding and ownership of best practice as a Senior Engineer (eg. TDD, SOLID, XP)
• Significant experience working with AWS Cloud Services.
• AWS Associate Developer Certification (or above)
• Proficient with Angular.js.
• Experience with Jenkins.
• Experience with testing tools like Gherkin, Karate & Cypress.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD practices and deployments.
• Experience of writing effective documentation and knowledge sharing.
