Advisory in Xodus is both a business sector and a division.  The division spearheads our overall business activities, establishes project opportunities, and provides advisory and strategic consultancy. The business sector is also served by the other technical discipline-led divisions in Xodus covering Energy Developments, Environment & Sustainability, Subsea & Marine, Process & Facilities and Late Life & Decommissioning. Overall Purpose of the Role

When a client is looking for strategic and techno-commercial advice, our Advisory team steps in. We advise governments, investment institutions, supply chain and owners / developers / operators across the energy sector. Our clients trust us to deliver expert in-depth advice and analysis, combining integrated thinking with practical experiences. Our Advisory services have a key role in the energy transition, covering Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage, electrification, hydrogen (green and blue), renewables, energy optimisation, carbon and emissions management and more.

The purpose of this role is to lead the Advisory service in the APAC region, ensuring the business operates safely, efficiently, and effectively. This involves creating and implementing business development plans based on market intelligence to capitalise on techno-commercial opportunities. By leveraging networks, the role aims to identify and develop new opportunities, fostering strong and trusted relationships with clients. Additionally, the role requires collaboration with the Global Advisory centre and other regions to deliver local value and lead consultancy projects across various energy-related fields.

The role involves working with in-house technical teams, experts, and associates from Xodus offices worldwide, and/or local partners, to provide innovative advice that aligns with clients’ ambitions. Maintaining a constant outlook on the global energy industry is crucial to help the team learn and develop, provide thought leadership, and identify early project opportunities. The role also supports the continued professional development of team members, develops tools and processes for successful energy solutions, and ensures financial performance during the execution of any expansion plans for products and services.

Requirements

  • Lead and deliver Advisory services in the APAC region to clients.
  • Assess the feasibility of opportunities from technical, economic, legal, environmental, societal, operational, organisational and political perspectives.
  • Lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions tailored to client requirements.
  • Ensure delivery of project scopes within cost, quality, and schedule constraints.
  • Develop technical and commercial proposals in response to client requests.
  • Develop new and maintain existing client and stakeholder relationships.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in the energy sector, including technologies and regulations.
  • Experience working across a range of areas in the energy sector.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Approximately 10 years or more of experience in project management within the energy sector.
  • Degree in environmental science, engineering, renewable energy, economics/finance or a related field.
  • Proven ability to deliver first-class consulting services.
  • Lead the delivery of assignments within designated commercial targets.
  • Supervise and provide direction to team members, direct reports, and project team.
  • Ensure work is performed in accordance with company quality procedures.
