Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our Humanoid is designed for corporate tasks targeting labor shortages and jobs that are undesirable or unsafe. We are based in Sunnyvale, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration.
We are looking for an Advanced Electrical Prototype Technician that has the skills and patience to assemble complex electrical systems.
Responsibilities:
- Expertly solder, rework, and troubleshoot complex printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) to ensure the highest quality and reliability
- Construct and validate intricate electromechanical assemblies to support R&D initiatives, emphasizing precision, thorough testing, and documentation
- Specialize in first article PCBA and harness work. Implement quality control measures to verify the accuracy and functionality of prototypes and assemblies
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including schematics, bills of materials, and assembly instructions, ensuring comprehensive documentation of all processes
- Collaborate effectively with engineers, designers, and cross-functional teams to contribute to the development of cutting-edge electrical systems and prototypes
- Ensure the proper maintenance and calibration of equipment and tools used for PCBA rework and harness assembly, guaranteeing optimal functionality
Requirements:
- Proven expertise in PCBA rework, wire harnessing, and electromechanical assembly within an R&D or advanced prototyping environment
- Exceptional soldering and reworking skills, with the ability to work on a variety of components. Ability to read schematics and a basic understanding of electrical communication protocols and electronics
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a knack for troubleshooting electronic issues, addressing challenges even beyond your primary area of expertise
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team. Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, facilitating seamless collaboration within the team
- Willingness to stay up-to-date with industry trends and technology advancements, ensuring a deep understanding of the evolving landscape of electrical engineering
