About the team and position 

This entry level position supports Carvana’s Labor & Employment Team in the Law Department.  The Labor & Employment Team frequently works with and provides legal advice to teams across the Company on a variety of topics including policy development, performance management, and employee relations.  The team also supervises outside law firms handling employment related litigation. 

What you’ll be doing

  • Maintain one or more databases by entering new and updated information.
  • Process third party requests for documents, which may include responding to non-litigation subpoenas or document requests.
  • May perform one or more of the following:
    • Administrative tasks related to case intake;
    • Administrative tasks related to third party platforms (e.g., case and immigration management platforms);
    • Prepare and maintain team records in accordance with team procedures;
    • Assist with general team coordination; 
    • Review and update team workflows and documented procedures as needed;
    • Monitor team email  inboxes, which may include responding to simple queries, and accurately assessing the need to elevate or delegate to the appropriate team member.
    • Prepare basic correspondence to internal stakeholders and outside third parties,  including attorneys and government agency representatives, in accordance with team guidance. 

What you should know/have

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 18 + years of age.
  • Effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Suite and Adobe.
  • Ability to work independently, with tight deadlines, in a multi-tasking work environment to deliver highly accurate and timely work product.
  • Ability to communicate and interact with others effectively in a professional, courteous manner verbally and in writing with stakeholders at various levels.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to sit for up to eight hours per day with extensive use of computers.
