Claremont Hillel is seeking a detail-oriented and creative Administrative Assistant to support its Marketing, Communications, and Development efforts. This role is ideal for a highly organized individual with strong communication skills and a passion for helping our Hillel grow its impact. As a core member of our growing team, you will help ensure that our messages reach the right audiences, our events run smoothly, and our development efforts are well-supported.
You will join a dynamic and collaborative staff at our office in Claremont working to create a vibrant, welcoming Jewish community at the Claremont Colleges.
Claremont Hillel serves the 700+ Jewish students across the 5 undergraduate and 2 graduate colleges of the Claremont Colleges Consortium, located 35 miles from downtown Los Angeles. Under the leadership of our first Executive Director, we’re in a startup growth phase, rapidly building a vibrant and innovative Jewish community.
Our mission is to engage students through meaningful relationships, exceptional educational experiences, and empowering leadership opportunities. We operate from a relational-engagement model, meeting students where they are, empowering them to lead, and supporting their growth as they explore their Jewish identities.
Located in the charming city of Claremont, CA known as the “City of Trees and PhDs,” our community offers beautiful campuses, historic neighborhoods, and easy access to beaches, mountains, and Los Angeles.
Claremont Hillel is affiliated with Hillel International. Hillel International enriches the lives of Jewish students so they may enrich the Jewish people and the world, and envisions a world where every student is inspired to make an enduring commitment to Jewish life, learning and Israel.
In 1923, Rabbi Benjamin Frankel started Hillel with humble means, a noble mission and a breathtaking vision: to convey Jewish civilization to a new generation. Today, Hillel International continues to enrich the lives of Jewish students and is the largest Jewish campus organization in the world at nearly 1,000 colleges and universities across North America and around the world. As Hillel evolves as an organization, the mission remains steadfast: to create lasting connections with every Jewish student that foster an enduring commitment to Jewish life, learning, and Israel and train them to become the next Jewish leaders.
Hillel is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to creating an accepting and inclusive environment for all.
