Adjunct Med-surg Clinical Nursing Instructor – Holy Family University

The School of Nursing and Health Sciences seeks applications from potential adjunct clinical instructors for a Med-surg clinical rotation.

Responsibilities

  • Teach clinical skills in the assigned discipline.
  • Use appropriate technology (including Canvas).
  • Respond to email correspondence from coordinators and students in a timely manner.
  • Communicate issues to didactic faculty, course coordinator and Clinical Coordinator and Program Coordinator
  • Grade clinical assignments (care plans, patient care worksheets, concept maps, SBAR, etc.) and provide timely feedback.
  • Oversee 10 students per clinical group and complete all required clinical paperwork.
  • Clinical hours are typically 12 hours per day
  • Monitor, evaluate, and document student achievement of learning objectives and outcomes.
  • Conduct daily debriefing with their group of 12 students.
  • Incorporate best-practice/evidence-based practice in nursing practice
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience
  • Hold a current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Pennsylvania.
  • Minimum of a master’s degree with a major in Nursing
  • Current certification in CPR (clinical supervision)
  • Current immunization and background checks as required (clinical supervision)
  • Demonstrated competence with the required knowledge and skill of the assigned content area
  • Strong interpersonal skills and positive energy regarding professional education and the role of a nurse educator
  • Current license and background checks may also be required in other states based on the clinical location

Upon hire, official transcripts from undergraduate and graduate institutions and one letter of recommendation will be required.
