OBJECTIVE:
This position is primarily responsible for assisting the accounting department in maintaining and billing all contract customer accounts, reviewing accounts receivable customer postings, and all collection activities for janitorial contract accounts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Working closely with Operations staff to ensure timely and accurate contract and Janitorial extra charge billing and related independent contractor pay. This includes invoicing activities and account payable entries in the Accounting system.
- Maintaining an accurate Contract database for contract details including setup, cancellations, increases, decreases, or operational assignments.
- Following up with customers on account collections and establishing payment terms while preserving client relations. This includes written and telephone conversations.
- Entering notes related to customer collections activities in Business Central and or CRM.
- Maintaining collections goals as set by the management team.
- Answer customer account-related questions effectively and communicate accurately with customers.
- Other accounting duties, as needed
- Generate financial reports for the management team.
- Perform other administrative and office duties as assigned
Requirements
- 1+ years of accounting and successful collections
- Basic understanding and application of accounting principals
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Excellent verbal and strong written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and knowledge of CRM database
