We are looking for a dynamic, hands on, and highly motivated Accounts Payable Manager to lead our talented AP team based in Paris. Reporting directly to the Controlling Manager, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports and reconciling accounts. You will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable processes and ensuring timely payments to vendors. Ensure the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, reconciliations and reporting for one specific scope
Position can be based in Paris, New york, San Francisco or Washington State.
Main activities
- Manage the Accounts Payable team.
- Manage the entire accounts payable process, including invoice processing, payment approvals, and payment execution.
- Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors and suppliers.
- Prepare and analyze the monthly reporting for his/her scope (AP reports (Aging, KPI’s, reconciliation)
- Maintain and update accounts payable records.
- Ensure the closing process for the Accounts Paybale perimeter is accurate and executed timely
- Assist in the preparation of the financial statements and audits
- Assist in preparation of budgets and forecasts for account payable
- Maintain procedures and internal controls to prevent fraud and errors
- Manage and maintain vendor master data to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Ensure compliance with company policies
- Participate or lead projects that impact accounting function
- Manage relevant software: accrual software and T&E tool
- Train and develop AP team members, including setting performance goals and conducting performance evaluations
Accounts Payable Manager requirements and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable or related field
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines, ability to work under pressure
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience in process improvement and implementing best practices
- Ability to analyze financial data and provide insights and recommendations
