We’re searching for an Accounts Payable Analyst to join Aurora’s Finance and Accounting team. The Finance and Accounting team is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate financial transactions, compliance with regulatory requirements, and efficient management of payables to support business operations.

In this role, you will

  • End-to-End Invoice Management:
    • Match supplier invoices to authorized purchase orders and proofs of receipt.
    • Work with suppliers to onboard them to allow for automated, touchless invoice processing
    • Manage unreceived orders and/or received, not vouchered orders to ensure timely receipt and payment.
    • Ensure supplier credits are correctly applied to payments.
    • Prepare invoice and payment reporting to distribute to finance leadership.
  •  Vendor and Payment Operations:
    • Issue timely payments for supplier invoices and manage due dates.
    • Manage stop payments, void checks, and reminders for uncashed checks.
    • Monitor and maintain supplier Form W-9 submissions and master data updates.
    • Onboard and manage suppliers in Aurora’s cloud-based procurement and invoice submission system.
    • Rich understanding of potential vendor payment fraud schemes and ensure supplier banking validation is completed timely and accurately.
  • Reconciliation and Reporting:
    • Month end Accounts Payable activities to reconcile and match cash to ensure GL accounting meets close deadlines
    • Report and reconcile Use Taxes with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Process Optimization & Collaboration:
    • Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance payment cycles and leverage automation tools.
    • Share updates with multi-functional teams to resolve invoice discrepancies efficiently and ensure smooth workflows.
    • Provide financial consulting within the accounts payable domain, supporting team members and stakeholders.
  • Financial Projects and Compliance:
    • Scope and implement financial processes and projects end-to-end, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
    • Support month-end and year-end closing activities by reconciling payables and preparing reports.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.
  • Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Coupa, Netsuite, and Workday Expense) and Google Suite, specifically Google Sheets for data analysis.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP.
  • Ability to scope and manage financial projects and deliverables aligned with team needs
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Strong collaboration skills, able to communicate across teams to achieve short- and mid-term financial goals.

The base salary range for this position is $80,000 - $119,000 per year.  Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
