Role Summary
As an Accounts Assistant, you will provide financial and administrative support to ensure efficient and accurate operations. You will be responsible for managing accounts, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations, and assisting with various financial tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Charter Hire Remittances: Ensure timely and accurate remittance of charter hire payments.
- Billing: Timely billing of expenses to owners and charter hire to sub-charterers.
- Account Analysis: Perform monthly analysis of owners' accounts and recovery accounts.
- Account Management: Accurately account for all liabilities, expenses, and payments in owners' accounts.
- Dispute Resolution: Resolve disputes with owners in collaboration with line managers, accounts teams, and ship brokers.
- Payment Follow-Up: Monitor and follow up on payments to/from owners and sub-charterers.
- Account Finalization: Ensure timely finalization of owners' accounts.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal processes, procedures, instructions, and deadlines.
- Audit Support: Prepare accounts schedules for audits and address audit concerns promptly.
- Ad-Hoc Projects: Assist with other projects as required.

Education & Knowledge
- ACCA/Accounting Degree or diploma holder.
- Fresh graduates with an ACCA/Accounting degree are encouraged to apply.
- Diploma holders should have 2-3 years of relevant experience.
