We are now looking for a Accounting System Implementation Support Contractorto join our team for three months, with the possibility of an extension for a further month. This role will report into the CFO and will be based in our London office in Shoreditch.

 

The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled contractor to support the successful implementation of a new accounting system (Certinia which is part of Salesforce). You will play a critical role in ensuring the system is set up for success, both technically and operationally, by collaborating with stakeholders to implement and maintain robust financial processes and controls. This position will bridge the gap between technical implementation and business needs, ensuring a smooth transition and continued operational efficiency post-go-live.

Requirements

What You Will Bring To CHR

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • CPA or equivalent accounting qualification (preferred but not essential).
  • Proven experience with accounting system implementations, preferably in ERP systems on Salesforce, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial processes, and internal controls. 
  • Demonstrated experience in process optimization and improvement within finance operations.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with technical teams and business users.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve system and process issues.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

 

Preferred but not essential:

  • Experience in change management and end-user training in the context of new system implementation.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Proficiency in relevant financial software and tools.



What You Will be Doing

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to assist with the implementation of the new accounting system (Certinia).
  • Lead the documentation and analysis of existing financial processes and controls, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring they are mapped to the new system.
  • Ensure that the new accounting system aligns with business needs, compliance requirements, and internal controls.
  • Assist in the development of a strong post-implementation process that promotes efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to accounting standards.
  • Test the system functionality and coordinate user acceptance testing to ensure that processes are fully integrated and functional before system go-live.
  • Identify gaps and inefficiencies in current processes and recommend and implement changes to streamline workflows post-implementation. 
  • Work closely with the finance and accounting team to ensure smooth data migration and system integration.
  • Ensure that new workflows and financial controls meet regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Provide regular progress updates and reports to key stakeholders on the implementation process and post-go-live support.

Compensation

CHR's head office is in Shoreditch, London and we anticipate 2-3 days per week on-site in our London office. We offer a flexible and supportive atmosphere, as well as a competitive daily rate of between £400 to £500 per day, depending on experience.
