Key Responsibilities:
The Accounting Manager, reporting to the Chief Accountant will be responsible for supervising, tracking, and evaluating day-to-day activities. This role involves establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting information.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounting department, including the review of journal entries, account reconciliations,
- Prepare and file (VAT, W/H Taxes , Construction supporting e.t.c) to Tax authorities,
- Develop and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles to ensure internal controls are followed.
- Supervise and mentor AP/AR teams, including setting performance goals & priorities, providing feedback, and supporting professional development.
- Coordinate and assist with external and internal audits, ensuring timely responses and accurate data.
- Continuously review and improve accounting procedures and systems for efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong knowledge of Local accounting GAAP.
- Sound knowledge of tax laws and regulatory standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software SAP is required, and advanced Excel skills are a plus.
- Team management experience with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong people and time management skills.
- Adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fast-paced environment.
