ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Checks all vouchers for payment including assigning account numbers.
- Enter invoices and all associated vendor data.
- Set up new vendor accounts.
- Answers all vendor inquiries.
- Set up meeting with vendors as necessary.
- Follow up on past due accounts.
- Proof and verify all invoices before closing out accounts at month end.
- Analyze vendor accounts and work with the Sales Department to clear old accruals.
- Prepare accounts payable checks, maintain A/P files and prepare analysis as required.
- Assist in month and year end closings to ensure monthly dead lines are met.
- Act as a back-up during times of absences in the Accounting/Administration Department for both the Accounts Receivable/Administrative Assistant and the Senior Accountant when required.
- Run checks and make emergency checks as needed.
- Various other filing duties.
- Assists with related special projects, as required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
One year certificate from college or technical school; Associates Degree; one year experience and/or training.
Compensation may vary depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and competencies. Base pay is one part of the total compensation as well as a strong benefits package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Pay is approximately $15 per hour depending on experience.
