About the role
Crunchtime is seeking a hardworking, detail-oriented, Accounting Associate to assist with day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of GAAP as well as experience with the month-end close process, GL account reconciliations, bank account reconciliations, and posting journal entries. You should possess a strong work ethic as well as the desire to learn and the flexibility to adapt as a member of a dynamic, high-growth, professional environment.
What you’ll do as an Accounting Associate
- Prepare general journal entries, balance sheet account and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare vendor payments for entry and processing in the General Ledger and Bank.
- Reviews financial data for accuracy; identifies problems and supports day-to-day operations.
- Assist Senior Accountant in preparation and reconciliation of weekly cash flow analysis.
- Assists team members with closing tasks and responsibilities.
- Assist with the preparation and execution of Audit requirements.
- Supports team members with departmental workflow and efficiency projects and other special projects as requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
What we're looking for
- Two to four years of relevant experience, preferably in the accounting department of a SaaS or technology company.
- Working accounting knowledge and understanding of GAAP.
- Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.
- Experience working in Netsuite.
- Can-do attitude, ability to shift priorities quickly and effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
Nice to haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- CPA and/or Big 4 experience.
- Experience in a fast-growing technology industry.
