We are seeking an Accounting Assistant for a 6 month contract (with the option to extend) in Gaithersburg, MD. This role will be onsite/in the office Monday-Friday during normal business hours (no remote options).
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Assisting with timesheets for multiple government contracts
- Assisting with quotes on RFPs
- Assisting with DoD and Government invoicing
- High School diploma or GED
- 2-3 years of experience as an accounting assistant, preferably with a government contracting company
- 2-3 years of experience using Excel spreadsheets, including VLookups and Pivot Tables
- Must be capable of obtaining and holding a U.S. government security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience using Deltek a huge plus
- Strong administrative and organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and organizational skills.
- A team player with a desire to contribute high quality work resulting in success for the overall team and company.
- A proven ability to be decisive, resolve issues quickly and deliver on commitments and deadlines.
